Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026-10-17

Agreement

By using ToolForge (the “Site”) you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. The Site is operated by ToolForge (“we”, “us”), reachable at toolforges.pages.dev.

The tools

The Site provides free browser-based utilities for images, colours and code. They are provided as-is. Each tool has its own documented limitations, and those matter: for example, HEIC decoding depends on your browser, converting an animated GIF to a static format keeps only the first frame, and minification changes your code.

Always keep a copy of your original input. Every tool is capable of producing output you did not expect from a bad input value, an unusual browser behaviour, or a bug.

Your content

You keep all rights to everything you input to a tool. Because the tools run in your browser, that input is never transmitted to us, so we claim no licence over it and we hold no copy of it.

You keep all rights to the output the tools produce. We place no restriction on it and add no watermark. You are responsible for making sure you have the rights to whatever you input, and for complying with any licence attached to it.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Site to break the law, or to process content you do not have the right to process.
  • Upload or process content that is illegal, that infringes someone else's rights, or that is defamatory.
  • Attempt to disrupt the Site, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, bypass rate limits, or use automated means to scrape it.
  • Redistribute the Site itself as your own work, or present a modified version in a way that implies it is ours.

A breach of this section may result in access being restricted and in reports to the relevant authorities where the law requires it.

Advertising

The Site is supported by advertising. Ads are served by third parties and are not under our control. We do not endorse advertised products or services, and we are not responsible for the content of advertisements or of any site they link to. Please report misleading advertisements through the link in the ad itself.

Use of the advertising is also governed by Google's policies and, in some regions, by a consent requirement. See the Cookie Policy and Privacy Policy.

Third-party links

The Site links to external sites, including documentation and opt-out pages operated by Google and others. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or practices. A link is not an endorsement.

No warranty

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any output will be suitable for your purpose.

In particular, no tool output should be relied upon in a safety-critical context without independent verification.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue or goodwill, arising from your use of the Site — even if we were advised such damages were possible.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.

Intellectual property

The Site's name, design, text, layout and code are owned by us or used under licence. You may use the tools freely, including commercially, but you may not claim ownership of the Site itself.

Changes

We may update the Site, change these terms, or withdraw a tool. The date at the top reflects the latest revision. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the revised terms.

Termination

We may restrict or block access to the Site, in particular where use appears to breach these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws that apply where the Site operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here removes any right you have to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence or of the European Union member state you live in.

Questions about these terms can be raised through the contact page. See also our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, About and Contact pages.
