ToolForge

Free online tools for images, colours and code

Convert images, pick exact hex colours and check contrast, format JSON and minify your code. Everything runs in your browser, so nothing you paste or drop is ever uploaded.

No sign-up · No upload · No watermark

Why use ToolForge

Nothing is uploaded

Every tool decodes, converts and formats locally. There is no upload endpoint, so your images and data cannot be intercepted or stored.

Instant, with no queue

Processing starts the moment you drop a file. No upload progress bar, no server round trip, no waiting for someone else's batch to finish.

Built by people who use them

The tools exist because the job came up and the alternatives either uploaded private data or produced wrong results.

About ToolForge

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Every tool on ToolForge runs entirely inside your browser using JavaScript, the Canvas API and WebAssembly. Your images, JSON, tokens and text are processed on your own device and never sent to our servers. That is also why there is no file size limit and why the tools keep working on a slow or intermittent connection.

Is ToolForge really free?

Yes, and there is no account to create, no trial to expire and no watermark added to your output. The site is funded by advertising, which is why you will see ad slots around the tools. We never put an ad inside a tool interface or over the controls you are using.

Do the tools work offline?

Once the page has loaded, yes. Because the processing is client-side, you can load a tool, switch to offline mode and it will keep working. Nothing is streamed from a server while you use it.

Which formats does the image converter support?

Output can be PNG, JPEG, WebP, AVIF, BMP or ICO. Input covers anything your browser can decode, which in practice means PNG, JPEG, GIF, BMP, WebP, AVIF, ICO, SVG, and HEIC on Safari and recent Chromium builds.

Can I use these tools for commercial work?

Yes. There is no licence attached to the output and no restriction on what you do with it. Your files stay yours.

How do I report a bug or request a tool?

Use the contact page. Bug reports are genuinely useful here, because a browser-specific failure in an image pipeline is usually a bug we have not seen yet.
