Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-17
Summary
- Your files and text never reach us. Every tool runs in your browser, so images, JSON, tokens and anything else you input are processed on your own device and are never transmitted to our servers.
- We do not sell or share personal information. We do not have your files, so we cannot share them.
- Advertising is involved, and this policy explains what that means for cookies and consent.
Who we are
ToolForge (“we”, “us”) operates the website at toolforges.pages.dev. For any privacy question or request, use the contact page.
Information we do not collect
Because every tool runs client-side, we do not receive, transmit, log or store:
- Images, screenshots or any other files you drop into a tool.
- Text, JSON, CSV, code, regular expressions or URLs you paste.
- JSON Web Tokens, API keys or any other credentials you decode.
- Anything a tool generates as output for you.
These values exist in your browser's memory while the page is open. The page contains no code that uploads them, and closing or reloading the tab discards them. The image converter in particular has no upload endpoint at all.
Information we do collect
Information you choose to send
If you email us, we receive the address you used and the contents of your message. We use it only to reply. Please do not send sensitive material.
Preferences stored in your browser
We store a small amount of data in your browser's local storage so the site can remember your choices. This never leaves your device:
toolforge-theme— whether you chose the light or dark theme.toolforge-cookie-notice— that you dismissed the cookie notice.
Clearing your browsing data removes both. If cookies are blocked entirely, the site still works; the theme simply reverts to your system preference each visit.
Server logs
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical request data such as your IP address, user agent, requested URL and timestamp in order to deliver the page and protect against abuse. That processing is governed by Cloudflare's privacy policy. We do not use those logs to build a profile of you.
Advertising and cookies
This site is funded by advertising. Google AdSense serves ads and uses cookies to do so.
Cookies used for advertising
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on the visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
Users may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can direct users to opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
If you have not opted out of third-party ad serving, cookies from other third-party vendors and ad networks may also be used to serve ads on this site. We currently use the following advertising partners, and list them here so the disclosure is complete:
- Google AdSense — policies.google.com/technologies/ads
Each partner operates under its own privacy policy and offers its own opt-out. Google honours the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, so a browser sending GPC will limit personalised advertising.
European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland
For visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, personalised advertising requires consent. We use Google's certified consent management platform, integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework, to obtain that consent before personalised ads are served.
You may withdraw consent at any time through Google Ads Settings. Declining consent does not reduce the functionality of this site: every tool continues to work, because none of them depend on advertising or on tracking.
Other cookies
We set no analytics or advertising cookies of our own, and we embed no third-party analytics scripts. Fonts and images are served from this domain so that no request to an external host reveals that you visited.
Legal bases for processing (GDPR)
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following bases:
- Consent for advertising cookies and for personal data processed by Google as our advertising partner, in the EEA, UK and Switzerland.
- Legitimate interests for the limited technical processing our host performs to deliver the site and keep it secure, and for replying to emails you send us.
- Contract for any information required to provide the site to you.
The Network Advertising Initiative publishes guidance on drafting privacy policies: networkadvertising.org.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, to object to processing for direct marketing, to data portability, and to complain to a supervisory authority.
Because we hold no personal data about you - not your files, not the text you paste, not an account - there is normally nothing for us to export, correct or delete. In practice the only data that exists anywhere is held by our service providers, chiefly Cloudflare and Google, who act as independent controllers or processors under their own policies. To exercise a right, or to ask what exists about you, use the contact page.
California residents. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA, so we do not provide a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link. We honour the Global Privacy Control signal. You may still use the contact page to ask about your information.
You may also contact your local data protection authority. In the EEA, that is the supervisory authority in your country of residence or work.
Children's privacy (COPPA)
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, use the contact page and we will delete it. Because advertising personalisation is disabled for sites with no age gating under COPPA, EEA and UK rules are met by default rather than by choice.
International transfers
Our hosting and advertising providers operate globally, so technical data may be processed outside your country. Where that happens, Google and Cloudflare rely on transfer mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses. See Google's privacy policy and Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or its partners change. The date at the top always reflects the latest revision, and material changes will be noted here.
